Paul Schumacher, LPCC
I love life, and perseverance is what drives me. I have ridden a 150-mile bike tour to support Multiple Sclerosis research ever since my sister was diagnosed in 1992. And I love doing everything that the beautiful state of Colorado has to offer.
I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy cycling, hiking, golf and disc golf, playing games, and sitting down for coffee with anyone who would love to chat. I enjoy donating my time, talent, and treasure to my church and desire to be a part of something greater than myself.
I received a Bachelor's degree and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University.
My Approach
I provide a caring and empathetic environment with true, authentic connection. I believe God has placed us all here for multiple purposes, and I love helping my clients discover theirs. I use my 20+ years’ experience in youth mentoring and parenting to fully get to know and understand my clients and everything they have been through. I approach every session with an open mind and am honored to help my clients navigate through life. I leverage my 20+ years in engineering to help solve complex problems with my clients. I also have a wide breadth of experience with youth, older adults with dementia, grief/loss and trauma, providing me the resources to aid my clients with everything life throws their way. I have written two novels and believe we are all authors of our own lives.
